RESERVATIONS
The price is 750 euros per person (vat included), that must be paid integrally paid to finish the reservation. Your invoice will be emailed to you immediately. If you desire a printed copy, it will be sent to you along with your tickets within 60 days of your purchase.
SEATING
Each client will have a cabin seat (in 3 or 6-person shared cabins) and a seat in one of the restaurant carriages (in shared tables of 4 people). The seating is managed by the organization, being that the seats in private cabins are attributed by purchase order or by a previous request (depending on availability).
SERVICE
The passenger pack includes a four-course gourmet tasting menu with wine harmonization, exclusive access to Quinta do Vesuvio - in case of weather or agenda limitations the organization the visit will take place at Quinta dos Malvedos - with port wine tasting, bar with live music, tea lounge, exclusive gift bag, collection book auto- graphed by the chef, and special prices with partner hotels.
The meal will be served aboard the Presidential Train, which will be in motion.
Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements no later than 72 hours prior to your booking. Please be aware that due to limited conditions on board the Presidential Train, we cannot guarantee that we will always have available alternatives.
ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL TRAIN
The Presidential Train, as a historical piece, does not offer the standard safety and comfort conditions – such as air conditioning or electricity. We ask our passengers to respect the train and all its history and priceless value.
CHILDREN
The Presidential Train, as a historical piece, does not offer the standard safety and comfort conditions – such as automatic door locks while traveling, as well as inward opening doors – of a contemporary train. For these reasons, as a safety precaution, we will not be hosting passengers under 12 years old.
RESPONSABILITIES ON OBJECTS OF VALUE
The organization is not responsible for the theft of valuables on board.
COMPLAINTS
Any complaints will only be considered if presented in writing within a maximum period of 20 days after the end of the trip.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking on the train is not allowed.
CANCELATIONS / CHANGES
Reservations may be altered at any time - depending only on the availability of each trip.
There is a possibility of refund, upon written request to the email general@thepresidentialtrain.com.
If the return request occurs up to 3 months before the travel date, the amount to be refunded is 75% of the total; if it occurs up to two months before, the refund is 60% and, up to 1 month before the date of travel, 50%. From that moment on, no refunds will be processed.
There is, during the entire process, the possibility of converting the value into a voucher that can be used in any LOHAD product.
DELAYS
The train departs from São Bento Station, in Porto, and there are no scheduled stops until Vesuvio. All guests must check in at the S. Bento station no later than 11h20am, and the train leaves promptly at 11.45am. In case of guest delay or no show, unfortunately there will be no other boarding options and no refunds.
The trip will end in São Bento Station at approximately 9.00pm. The organization appreciates your patience for any unplanned delays, for which it cannot assume any responsibility, and strongly advises our guests to not assume any commitments before 11pm.
